Arcade Museum PINBALL League Overview

We will be following player-friendly regulations based on IFPA Complete Competition Rules.

Whether you're a seasoned player or new to the game, our league offers a fun and engaging environment for all skill levels. Sign up today and become part of a vibrant community of pinball enthusiasts.

How it Works

Our league operates on a 8-week season, culminating in an exciting finals week. Players meet Every Other Tuesday at 7:00PM. Players are grouped with others of similar skill levels, ensuring competitive and enjoyable matches for everyone.

This structure not only fosters fair play but also encourages camaraderie among participants.  Players will compete for points + weekly cash prizes, with playoffs at the end of the season that will include more cash prizes.

Scoring and Matches

  • On League Nights, players will be grouped (4 per group when possible) or head-to-head.
  • Everyone in a group plays 4 different pinball machines.
  • Points are awarded based on placement in each game:
    • 1st  Place: 4 points
    • 2nd Place: 3 points
    • 3rd  Place: 2 point
    • 4th  Place: 1 points
  • Cumulative weekly scores determine league standings.
  • Ties in standings are broken by tiebreaker matches or predetermined criteria.
  • All scores and standings will be immediately posted to our Stern Leaderboard.
  • League points will be submitted to IFPA for official ranking.

For more detailed scoring rules, refer to the IFPA Complete Competition Rules.

Playoffs and Championships

  • At the end of 8 weeks, the top players (based on total points) will move on to the playoffs.
  • Playoffs are head-to-head or group format with elimination rounds.
  • Playoff machines are drawn randomly to ensure fairness.

This is your chance to showcase your skills and compete for the league championship.

The playoff structure ensures that everyone has a shot at glory, regardless of their initial ranking.

Fees and Prizes

  • League Entry Fee: $10 per Night + coin drop to play
  • Weekly cash prizes for top finishers.
  • End of the regular season cash prizes for top finishers.
  • League points will be submitted to IFPA for official ranking.

Registration

  • Sign-up Only on our website.
  • Must be 16+ to participate.
  • Early registration guarantees a spot — limited slots available.

Game Play Rules

  • Each player gets the standard number of balls per game.
  • No  practice games allowed on league machines during league night.
  • No coaching during active play.
  • Tilt-through(tilting that ends the next player’s turn) results in zero points for that game.
  • If a player plays out of turn, the ball is immediately ended and no points are awarded.

Helpful Reminders from IFPA Rules

  • Tilt warnings and tilt penalties vary by machine.
  • Players must start each turn with hands off the machine until the ball is served.
  • Players are responsible for knowing the rules of the machines they play.
  • Intentional exploitation of game software bugs will result in disqualification.
  • In all disputes, the league official's ruling is final.

Machine Malfunctions

  • If a machine breaks during a game, notify a league official.
  • Minor issues (like a stuck ball) will be resolved by a league official.
  • If a major malfunction occurs (such as game resets or flipper failure), the game may be replayed.
  • Scoring errors must be reported before the next game begins.
